Josh Reed is the CEO of VOXO, a ~$9M ARR company that simplifies business communications for small businesses. He shares how the Coaching Group has helped him, as a CEO from a non-technical background, grow his company and his own skillset.
Since joining the group, a number of things have improved. First, our sales traction has increased. Prior, we were having struggles with it and now we are growing at 35% and not only are we growing in a healthy way, but we’re growing in a way that’s repeatable, with repeatable processes, and it’s scalable. Victor has been instrumental in helping us get to that point.
Some of the ways Victor has helped me in my role as CEO is understanding what to fix next. At our stage, there’s an endless number of challenges and issues to fix and sometimes just understanding what the next thing to focus on is important. Victor helps with prioritization.
My background is not technology, so there’s some knowledge gaps at times. Victor has a unique way of relating to people like me in this situation and explaining things in a very simple way that is easy to understand for those who aren’t from a technology background; that’s been very helpful for me.
Networking with other SaaS CEOs at my stage has helped me a lot… just see things from different perspectives, understand like what it takes, what does it look like? Networking with those other SaaS CEOs is really helpful in understanding things from other perspectives.
