Bobby Martin is the CEO and a co-founder of Vertical IQ, which provides industry data to help financial professionals work with small business owners to build trusted advisor status. He shares how his company has put in place scalable processes and improved customer retention since joining the group.
We really wanted to figure out how to create a sales playbook and a sales methodology that is repeatable, growth-oriented, makes sense. It may sound easy, but it’s actually difficult and complicated. And Victor and the group have done a great job of teaching us how to do a better job at that.
Our business has changed since I joined the group. Vertical IQ has really done a great job of becoming more organized with more systems and processes that are in place to help us scale and grow faster, and to take advantage of the things that we’re already doing, but in a more scalable way.
By joining the group, we’re selling more because what we’re doing now is putting in place processes that make sales easier.
We’re also retaining our customers more effectively because we’re using AI and using some of those processes to make sure we know exactly what our customers want from us. It’s actually tough to execute, and Victor’s done a great job of explaining it all.
Joining the group and having other CEOs as part of it has been so helpful because I get to hear their perspectives, with the exact same challenges. And then Victor’s able to say, “hey, all of us are sharing in these types of challenges. So why don’t we talk as a group on how to solve those things?” It was just wonderful to hear other perspectives from other CEOs for sure.
If I was talking to other CEOs who are thinking about joining the group with Victor, I would tell them they should absolutely do this because it provides an affordable way to get coaching, not just from Victor, which is incredibly helpful, but also the other CEOs.
My experience with Victor has just been fabulous. I mean, I’ve really, really enjoyed it. It’s really helped us out a lot.
